ECOLOGICAL PROTECTION
CTG actively explores new avenues for high-quality development in accordance with the two-tracked development approach of advancing clean energy development and ecological conservation of the Yangtze River. We spare no effort in grasping implementation and innovating new models. This commitment is fulfilled through projects focused on water treatment, drinking water source protection, and shoreline restoration along the 11 provinces and cities along the riverbank.

Chinese Sturgeons Release Activities

A total of 100,000 captive-bred Chinese sturgeons were released into the Yangtze River in Yichang, central China's Hubei province, by citizens and volunteers. This marks the 68th Chinese sturgeon release event organized by CTG since 1984. Additionally, 100,000 more captive-bred Chinese sturgeons are scheduled to be released in the two upcoming release activities. Releasing artificially bred sturgeons is conducive to the reproduction and recovery of the species’ wild population in the Yangtze River. CTG’s Chinese Sturgeon Research Institute has been dedicated to the conservation and research of Chinese sturgeons and rare fish in the Yangtze River.
