Xiaoyangwo PV project
Xiaoyangwo PV project, the first PV project within a green energy demonstration base along the lower reaches of the Jinsha River, was connected to the power grid in 2022. This project boasts a total capacity of 50 MW, comprises 16 solar arrays, and covers an area of about 89 million m2.
This PV project integrates solar energy with agriculture. The photovoltaic panels are designed with a minimum height of 2.5 meters, providing shelter for grazing animals and allowing them to move freely between and under the modules. The project enables dual use of spaces, providing a sustainable and environment-friendly solution.
Upon completion, the project is projected to generate an annual power output of 86.2 million kWh, resulting in savings of about 26,300 tonnes of standard coal and a reduction of 28.63 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
CTG’s green energy demonstration base. The first batch of projects (on the Yunnan side) includes 29 photovoltaic power generation projects and 4 wind power projects, with a planned total installed capacity of 2.706 million kilowatts. Once all projects are completed and operational, they are expected to generate an average annual power output of 3.6 billion kilowatt hours. This will be equivalent to saving 1.09 million tonnes of standard coal and reducing 2.98 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
